Online Counselling

We are now offering a limited number of online counselling slots to clients who cannot make it to one of our locations.

How will this work?

You will refer into our service as normal and then we will book you in for an online initial meeting. After the Initial Meeting you will be put on the waiting list for online counselling.

How to refer?

You can refer now for online counselling using the same referral form as you would use if you wanted to come into one of our offices. Once complete you can return the form to c.sims@srchelp.org.uk

Can I have online counselling if I am already on your waiting list?

Yes, if you are already on our waiting list and feel that online counselling may be better for you due to location; disability or for any other reason just call the office and have a chat with a member of SRC staff who will be able to advise you and add you to the online waiting list

How long will I be waiting?

The waiting list for online counselling will be the same as the one if you are coming to our office, this means that you will have a 3 – 6 month wait from your Initial Meeting before you counselling starts.

Do I need any special equipment or software?

You will need an internet enabled device (i.e. a mobile phone; laptop or tablet) and a good internet connection. When your appointment is booked you will get an e-mail with a link to the counselling room, at your appointment time you click the link and you will be connected with your counsellor.

How long will my appointment be?

Your appointment will be around 50 minutes long, at which time your counsellor will end the session and you can log off the video window.

Will any of my sessions be saved?

No, the system is safe and secure and nothing is recorded or saved, either by the website or SRC.
